Week 2 Puppy Update

Hi All, Martha got adopted this week and her new name is Sophie! You'll now see an angel figurine in the pics with your puppy, this is so you can see how they're growing. The angel is about 7in tall and about 4 in wide at the bottom of her skirt. Some of the pics are making the puppies look a little darker than what they are. Sorry about that, but if I use the flash the color really washes out.
So as you can see all the gang are gaining weight and have beautiful shiny coats. All of them opened their eyes yesterday except for Orpah. Along with the eyes opening their ears have also opened so now they can see and hear! It's so wonderful because they like looking at me and they're responding positively to being spoken too. They still only eat and sleep. What a life hugh? They're being spoiled as we've had quite a few visitors the last week and they've been held a lot. This is a very good thing because the more people they're exposed to the more social they'll be. You can count on them never attacking any one, although the Yorkie is a good watch dog as they do bark when someone comes to the door. The puppies are not barking yet, they just make a really cute little clicking sound. Persis is becomeing a little more tolerant of my other dogs being in the same room as the pups, that's good. She's a great mom, eating her self on the chubby side so she can keep up with nursery her big bunch.

Week 1 Puppy Update

As you can see the puppies have already changed quite a bit. The no longer looked like little skinned critters. lol. And they have doubled their weight. Their eyes and ears are still closed and they do not walk yet. They pull themselves with their front legs. They have shown some signs of forming a click, as I have found the 2 brown pups cuddles together and the 3 black ones cuddled together. (yes, it's just a coincidence) And today I caught Phebe sucking her thumb (front paw). Any one know where I can get a doggy pacifier. No, they do not have their teeth yet. However those tiny little claws are growing so fast that they need to be clipped already. Momma Persis is very protective, if any of our other 3 dogs come into the same room as Persis and her puppies, Persis begins a fierce growl. However she is just fine with all humans, she even lets anyone hold or pet her babies.

WE HAVE PUPPIES

Our little Persis surprised us by having her puppies just after midnight this morning. She was supposed to go for xrays today to see how many she was having. Got to cancel that appointment. She had FIVE. That's a big litter and every one was full size, between 5 and 6 ounces. She had 4 girls and 1 boy. They are (in birth order) ... Martha 5 oz., Naomi 6 oz., Orpah 5 oz., Luke 5 oz., and Phebe 5 oz. Enjoy the pics.
Sorry, the pics look golden, for some reason my pics at home have been coming out that way. They are also a little on the dark side. True to a lot of new borns, they're not very cute, but in a couple of weeks I promise you'll fall in love with them. Of course being the "human moma" I think their absolutely precious.

My Card Creations

Card making is my main hobby. Every month I teach a card making class called "Can Do Camp". I also sell stamps and accessories for The Angel Company. I chose this company because they have very high quality stamps at costs below every one else.
If you'd like to join my class, host a class for your friends or see our products, please let me know.
